Novell accredited people are recognised as highly qualified individuals who posses a high level of technical skills for Novell based networks.

Enhance What You Already Know
To prepare for certification testing candidates will need to first obtain the required level of knowledge. This can be achieved by attending authorised Novell Suse Linux training programme at EXCOM Education. This approach is highly recommended for anyone who is not already very experienced or does not have access to suitable equipment and facilities to undertake their preparation.

During your training program at EXCOM you’ll gain knowledge and experience by using quality Novell Education products. This enhances your work experience by exposing you to Novell software, resources, documentation and practical computer based lab sessions. In addition, all EXCOM Education training includes additional services designed to ensure effective preparation for certification tests, such as access to lab facilities for practice, unlimited post-course technical support, and personalised advice and guidance regards the individual candidate’s progress.

How To Certify
In order to become Novell Suse Linux certified, applicants must pass one or more certification tests. The courses in EXCOM’s Novell Linux certification training programmes are available for those applicants who need instruction to prepare for the Novell Linux Practicum.

Novell Certified Linux Professional (Novell CLP certification)
The Novell Certified Linux Professional (Novell CLP) is for people interested in being Linux administrators. Skills demonstrated by someone holding a Novell CLP certification include: installing Linux servers into a network environment, managing users and groups, troubleshooting the SUSE LINUX file system, managing and compiling the Linux kernel, and troubleshooting network processes and services, just to name a few.

To become a Novell CLP, one need only pass a Novell Practicum (050-689) to achieve the certification. The Novell authorized instructor led training and courseware are designed to introduce students to basic Linux concepts and progress them through the tasks of managing a Linux network environment. The Novell Practicum is a scenario-based exam where students apply the knowledge and real-life exposure they have learned to solve real-life problems, showing they not only know what to do, but that they can actually do it as well.

Novell Certified Linux Engineer (Novell CLE certification)
Novell Certified Linux Engineer certification will help you master advanced SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server administration skills. With this certification, you will be in high demand as more and more employers seek talented Linux engineers. This course will require you to have already completed your Novell CLP certification before you take the Novell Practicum for your Novell CLE certification. (So if you’re already a Novell CLP, you’re more than halfway done with the Novell CLE track!)

How Do The Novell CLP And Novell CLE Relate To Each Other?
The Novell CLP is a good place to start in Linux certification. The Novell CLE is the more advanced certification, building on the concepts of Linux administration learned in the Novell CLP training. Hence, an understanding of Linux administration is required for those interested in pursuing the Novell Certified Linux Engineer designation. Novell CLEs combine their knowledge of Linux administration with the knowledge of Nterprise Linux Services so they can provide innovative business solutions on the Linux platform.
